The Postal Loan Request Service for Distance Learners is available to provide you with items from the DMU Library book stock, to your home address.

A copy of the Postal Loan Request Form can be found here. Once completed, you can post itfax it or scan it and send it as a PDF via e-mail to justask@dmu.ac.uk.  On receipt of your request we will retrieve the item you need and post it out to you; generally within one working day of receiving your request.

The charge for the Postal Books Loans Service is £3 per item despatched. Costs will be added to your library record and you can pay them off on receipt of the books. You are also required to pay the cost of return postage which should be done by recorded delivery.

Requesters should please be aware that we cannot guarantee the loan period of an item sent out via the Postal Loan Request Service.  We always try to send out 3 week loan items when these are availble on the shelves, but may have to send 7 day loan items if this is all that is available to meet your request.  If you do not wish to receive a 7 day loan item, because of the possiblity that it may be requested by another student when you've only had it for a couple of days, meaning you're unable to renew it, please specify this on your original request.
